6th Annual Fall 2 Day Conference featuring Dr. Paula Kluth, national expert on Inclusion, and author of “You’re Gonna Love This Kid” and Mary and Jerry Newport, speaking about their lives on the spectrum, “Living and Loving with autism”. Special Needs Project bookstore will also be present, with great resources available for purchase.

Swing Away for the ASA Golf Tournament
WHAT?

The SDASA annual charity golf tournament raises funds to benefit camp and other recreational programs for individuals with autism. Past tournaments have included a silent auction, dinner for golfers and their family & friends, putting contests, closest to the pin contests, and a longest drive competition.

WHEN? Held annually in late summer/early fall. 2008 event date TBD.

Splash for Cash
WHAT?

A fun filled, swim-a-thon sponsored by the SDASA to raise funds and awareness for Pool PALS.  This is a fundraiser that features teams and individuals raising money and swimming for autism.  There is a pancake breakfast starting at 8 am, prepared and served by SD City Firefighters. 

 

Throughout the day there will be a resource fair, hourly prizes awarded for the "swimmers in the pool", a silent auction, a kids fun zone and a chili dog lunch.   There are grand prizes awarded to the team and individual who raise the most money.  All are welcome to attend, even if you are not swimming!

All Out for Autism 2009 Information
WHAT?

The San Diego County Chapter of the Autism Society of America (SDASA) is proud to announce that we are going “All Out for Autism! – Flamenco Nights” for our 9th Annual fundraiser benefiting Camp I CAN (Camp Including Children with Autism Now). We invite you to enjoy a night of scrumptious food, exciting silent & live auctions, great raffle prizes, and fantastic Flamenco dancing all while supporting a great cause! Even if you can’t join us in person that night, please consider other ways to show your support for our one of a kind camp for children and teens with autism.

Teacher Appreciation Night
WHAT?

Come join us on this special night to recognize the talents of children with autism and the teachers, aides, and professionals who have made a difference in their lives. Coast Music Therapy students will bring music to our ears as they perform on piano, guitar, voice, or percussion. After the recital, awards will be given to dedicated educators who have shown excellence in all that they do for students on the spectrum.  A light dinner will be served.

Combined Health Agencies Volunteer of the Year Recognition
WHAT?

Combined Health Agencies is a federation of 25 chapters of local and national non-profit health agencies, including the San Diego county chapter of the Autism Society of America.
